Introduction

Go PB&J Corp. ('PB&J', 'we', and 'us') operates the PB&J mobile application service (the 'Service'). We are committed to maintaining a safe and trustworthy curated community, and we understand that privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance to our users ('you').

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service.

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Collecting Information

Information You Provide

There are two types of user roles in the PB&J mobile application. These are content influencer role and dating user role. In order to apply for membership to the content influencer role, you will be asked to begin an application using your Instagram credentials. Upon doing so, you authorize us to access information from your Instagram account, such as your username, profile picture and photos uploaded to Instagram.

You will also be asked to allow us to collect your geographical location information and you may respond to such request by allowing us to collect location information at all times, only while you are using the app or not at all. Further, you may be asked if you would like to display your specific profile information to other users. In addition, we may collect and store any personal information you provide while using our Service, which may include identifying information provided in your application, such as your name, Instagram username, email address, date of birth, gender, hometown, city of residence.

In order to register as a dating user with PB&J, you will be asked to sign in using your Facebook login. If you do so, you authorize us to access certain Facebook account information, such as your public Facebook profile (consistent with your privacy settings in Facebook), your email address, gender, birthday, current city, photos.

In connection with your use of the Service, you may also provide us images, a biographical description, information about your gender and preferences for recommendations and connections. If you communicate with other users within the Service, you provide us the content of your conversation. Should you contact us with an inquiry, you provide us the content of that correspondence. You may change your personal information (other than your email provided and date of birth) at any time within the app edit profile settings.

Other information with your consent

If you give us permission, we can collect your precise geolocation (latitude and longitude). The collection of your geolocation may occur in the background even when you aren’t using the services if the permission you gave us expressly permits such collection. If you decline permission for us to collect your geolocation, we will not collect it.

Similarly, if you consent, we may collect your photos and videos (for instance, if you want to publish a photo, video or streaming on the services).

Information Collected Automatically

In addition to the information you provide, certain information will be automatically collected as you use the Service, including, but not limited to, the operation system used by your device, your device type and ID, your IP address, and access times. If you grant us permission to use location services, we will automatically collect data regarding your geographical location at all times or while the app is actively running, as applicable. Note that even if you do not grant us permission to use location services, we may collect data regarding your city, state and general location (not your exact location) through your IP address.

More about Device Information

We collect information from and about the device(s) you use to access our services, including: hardware and software information such as IP address, device ID and type, device-specific and apps settings and characteristics, app crashes, browser type, version and language, operating system, information on your wireless and mobile network connection, like your service provider and signal strength; information on device sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes and compasses.

Third Party Websites

In the event you access a third-party website through our in-app browser, such third-party websites may independently solicit and collect information from you. You should consult the privacy statements available on such websites as their policies are beyond our control.

Sharing and Use of Information

Information Share with Other Users

When you register as a user of the Service, depending on your settings and preferences, your app profile will be viewable by other users of the Service. For content influencers, other users will be able to view information you have provided to us directly or through Instagram. Only content influencers whose applications have been accepted will be able to login to the app using your Instagram login.

For dating users, other users will be able to view information you have provided to us directly or through Facebook, such as your Facebook username, photos you upload, your first name, your age, city of residence.

A mutual ‘like’ by you and another dating user enables you to chat with that person through the Service. Should you engage in a conversation through our Service, that user with whom you are communicating with will see the content of that interaction. By submitting a content influencer application to PB&J, you are giving the app access to your Instagram profile through the use of Instagram’s API. However, the Instagram information automatically available to users of the app will not exceed the information otherwise accessible through your Instagram profile. Therefore, a ‘private’ Instagram user profile will still be private; only the content you choose to share with PB&J users will be visible.

Use of Information by PB&J

We may use information that we collect about you to, among other things, (i) deliver and improve the Service (for example the user profiles and the food items you see on PB&J), including other location-based features, (ii) monitor use, content and interactions, (iii) perform research, analysis and analytics, (iv) manage our business, (iv) communicate with you and (v) enforce or exercise rights under our Terms of Service.

Service Providers

We may share your information with third parties that perform services on our behalf. These service providers may have access to information needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes.

Other Situations

We may disclose your information in connection with (i) certain legal matters, (ii) a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency, or (iii) a significant corporate transaction.

How we protect your Information

The security of your information is important to us. PB&J has implemented safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no website or Internet application is completely secure. We urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe and private and not use the app or its services on an unsecured device.

Access and Amend Your Information

You may update or correct your account information at any time by logging in to your PB&J account. You may also make a number of other adjustments to settings or the display of information about you as described in more detail in the following sections.

Edit Food item submissions as a content influencer

To edit or delete an already posted food item, you agree to submit your requests via the app. You can do this by tapping on the thumbnail of the food item in your listing and click on “Request Edit Event” button. This will open an email dialogue box where you can type in your request. Some information regarding your device will be pre-filled in the email. This information is needed to process your request diligently and promptly. You may choose to delete the device information when sending your request.

Delete Account

All delete account requests are processed by sending an email to support@gopbj.com. As a dating user or content influencer using PB&J, you agree to send your request to delete your account in an email to support@gopbj.com. Once we receive an email from you we'll assist you in deleting your account from PB&J. It’s important to note that once you delete your account, you will permanently lose your matches, jams, messages and other information associated with your account.

If you choose to sign back up with PB&J after deleting your account, a new account will be created for you. Be aware that deleting or uninstalling the PB&J app does not delete your account.

Transferring your data

PB&J is headquartered in Canada and the application works throughout the globe. As such, we may transfer your personal information to, or access it in, jurisdictions (including Canada) that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction. We will take steps to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.

Your California Privacy Rights

California law permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed their personal information (if any) for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the types of personal information disclosed to those parties. If you are a California resident and would like to request this information, please submit your request in an email to support@gopbj.com. Please allow 30 days for a response. For your protection and the protection of all of our users, we may ask you to provide proof of identity before we can answer such a request.

Age Policy

Must be of Age

We restrict our Service to people who are 18 years of age and older. Only applicants 18 and over will be considered for acceptance, but we are not liable should an applicant misrepresent their age in their application. Should we become aware of a user who is not at least 18 years of age, we will immediately remove that user from our Service. We do not knowingly collect, maintain or use information from children under the age of 18.

No Rights of Third Parties

This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any information relating to users of the Service.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

If we change our privacy policies and procedures, we will post those changes on this page. If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy that materially change how we treat your personal information, we will endeavor to provide you with reasonable notice of such changes, such as via prominent notice in the PB&J app or to your email address of record, and where required by law, we will obtain your consent or give you the opportunity to opt out of such changes.
